Hey, geeks -

Fucking machines: Human Computer Erotic Interaction? Mmhm, there's a call for papers here.

Meanwhile, I'm just about to get my free read of Jeremy Edward's story from 'Spark my moment'. Jeremy's a fabulously witty eroticist with the lightest of touches, and his lovely lyrical stories are just what I need after a day dealing with the tax office ...

Today I am also facing my fear of dialogue and laughing in its face. I hope if I am brave I will vanquish the heeby jeebies and become much better at patter.

"Take that, you febrile hound!"

See, it's working already.

Of all my writing fears, I think dialogue tops the list. What are your writing phobias? What are you hiding (from) behind that page of text?

Hmm. I would say the short answer to that question, for me, is plot and conflict. Oh dear!

I think I have no fear of dialogue because I talk to people in my head all day long. Try thinking in voices...

Where do you get all your fancy pantsy blogger themes, Nikki? Very nice! Oh, and thanks for visiting Friends of Breastfeeding!

Wow, Nikki, thank you so, so -mwah!- much for the plug!

It's lucky the free story wasn't the one about tax forms. (There really is one in the collection!)

"Take that, you febrile hound!"

LOL. Well dialogued! As my spamword, prescr, hints, that line of yours seems to be just what the doctor ordered.

Jo! Atta plot! Go girl!! As for the Blog wallpaper, I am fickle lately and keep flicking between the ones I find in the 'design' tab.

Jeremy - thanks for the read! A story very like a glass of iced vodka and soda, I think! Lovely.

ah yes..jeremys work is fab..actually he is one of the few writers who ix sex and humor in the perfect dosage...:-)

my writing fear is..dialogue too...when i started writing, like..lonnng ago, my stories were all dialogue..i mean it..full of dialogue...but somehow that was too much..so it became less and less...and now i can write whole stories without dialogue..which might isnt good either..jo always says that i need more dialogue..:-) but since most of my stories are told in a backview on the past...they do without...so..yes..i hate writing diaolgues:-)

Danielle, I think it is imperative to write what we avoid, don't you? I've written a story that was nothing but dialogue, a phone conversation. Not easy. And probably not very good, either ...

Aw, thanks, Danielle, and Nikki again! ("Absolut Jeremy" has a nice ring to it, eh?)

Yes! I just read Jeremy's story too. Yummy yummy!

I love dialogue. Plot is my fear-fear-fear. Fucking plot. Argh!!!!

Thank you, Shanna! This dialogue is sure making me happy. : )

Boggles at Shanna* REALLY? Your stories are always so meaningful though.

I don't really get it with Danielle - he's so good at conversion - dialogue's just the same.
