Less bump, more grind

Yep, I am hard at work, arse in the chair, nose to the grindstone.

But I wanted to *ooh* that I got copies of Afternoon Delight a couple of days ago. The book's themed around time (times of day), and I really can't wait to steal a few hours to read it right through. It looks gorgeous.

Last time someone asked me what I wanted most for a present, my answer was: "more time."

That's what I'd like for Valentine's day, I think. Time with boyf. Because - and I know, this'll make you want to puke - but sometimes a lifetime just doesn't seem long enough.

/soppy.

I have to second that emotion, soppy tho it may be.
Felix and I met later than we should have, and he's a lot older than me.
So we are aware of time flying. I simply try to be grateful for every day with him and hope for many more.
Especially these days, when my ex unleashed his venom on me, oh must've been five days ago now, and I'm still trying to gain perspective and let it goooooooo. Grumble. Sometimes it sux to be sensitive.

I'm with you and Madeline—I treasure every day with Helia and will gladly shout that from any available rooftop.

Oh, good, well if we're all getting soppy, I'll put some music on ...

Enjoy a smoochy weekend with your loves, both!

Yes, I think sappy and soppy are very nice. Enjoy that time for as long as you can -

I did read your poetry last night and everyone loved the pieces. Thank you again. The words so resonated with me.

word verifier: parch. I'm parched for love on Valentine's Day this year, but I have lots of good friends. :-)

Oh, how cool Neve! I'm delighted!

You know in Korea they have a special Valentine's Day for singletons? Apparently there's about 5 or 6 different Valentine's celebrations throughout the year. I think one of them involves eating black noodles!

Count me soppy too, Nikki.

I'm madly in love, and have been for twenty eight years.

Soppy and proud of it here. I like that we have a holiday devoted to love - we've got enough that are in remembrance of unpleasantness.

I got a copy of the book in the mail the other day and I plan on sitting down today and reading. What a nice way to spend some time.

I wholly relate to Robin's love of a holiday devoted to love. That is why I love Valentine's Day. And I frankly have not really thought of it as a couple's holiday specifically. It seems to me just a holiday about love, and recognizing and appreciating and celebrating that as you understand it in your life.

Love to all, and happy Valentine's Day.

Oh, and congrats on Afternoon Delight, Nikki! (I apologize -- I got so caught up in love I forgot to say that. :))

And of course, "After Midnight" is excellent.
