Next step in streamlining the writer's day - I've decided to drop out of lust bites and move on. It's been a blast and I've met some wonderful people, but the time and energy involved have seriously detracted from writing. I've got a few projects on at the moment that I really want to focus on, so it seems like a good time to kiss it goodbye and simplify life!

A sad farewell to all the great writers on there and all the lovely guests. I wish everybody the very best of luck as the good ship lustbites sails off into fresh waters.

Meanwhile, I'll be sitting here on my desert island with a laptop and a sackful of teabags, working on the magnus opus...

x Nikki

PS : I mean magnum opus. Shit. Doesn't bode well if I can't even spell it!

I need to focus too! I need to stop faffing about [and taking silly pictures of myself] and get on with a whole heap of proof checking... so I can get on with more writing!

Best of luck, Nikki. You will be much missed on LB. I guess this means we lose Johnny too. Damn, he was cute.

Magnus Opus - didn't he used to host Mastermind?

I read your great story in 'Sex n Public', and I was stopping by to ask how you manage to write so well and run two blogs. I guess I got my anwser.

As a social anxiety person, I really related to 'Housebound' and it rang true for me. It was a really great read.

Hey all,

Aren't they a cute bunch? Particularly George, I think.

Portia, oof, proof checking. Someday we'll be rich enough to pay a flunky to do that for us! Good luck with it, too.

Kristina - Last time I saw Johnny he was arm wrestling a sailor down in the railway arches. You never know when he'll reappear and start pinching people's bottoms...

Lively Lad - that's a nice thought, thanks! I *think* my patron saint is probably St Jude, though...

Shon, hello, I'm so glad you enjoyed Housebound! The premise stemmed from my experience of agoraphobia, so I'm glad it rang true for you. I'm thinking it could be a whole new genre - neurotica.

Alana, hey, I hear Paul's on the market again. Why not give him a call?

(And yes, just imagine all this writing. Just imagine. Pages and pages and reams and reams...it's bloody terrifying!)

St Jude??? - well, he's the guy who's apparently good at finding lost things - you lost anything recently? (Better than St Magnus tho' - he just got himself butchered! - Lively Lad

Naturally, this LB groupie's heart sank when I read your post. But then it soared, as I thought of how much I admire you for having the courage to make tough decisions and the strength to do the things you know you should be doing. So please ignore my sniffles and accept my toast to your bright future, along with my well-wishing hug (which is not just an excuse to touch the shoulders of a sexy writer--really, how did I get such a reputation? Honestly, a groupie can't go anywhere these days . . . )

P.S. Do we get to keep the parts of you that are attached to Lust Bites Monster Woman? Just asking.

Lively lad - Patron Saint of lost causes, I'd heard!

And Jeremy, oh, thank you, lovely man!

I think it would be nigh impossible to separate the bits of LBMW without a lot of mess, so yup, she stays intact. Still not telling which bits are whose though...
