(speaking very quietly...) here's an interesting article on women's erotica from publisher's weekly. That'll give you something to read that's not about water pumps, while I go and dance a little dance on my tippy toes to celebrate the return of peace to the street...

This may be a relatively new phenomenon, but I doubt it. Perhaps they are just getting better at marketing to women. I have found that a small paperback of Cleland's 'Fanny Hill' follows the appropriate formula to awaken slumbering desires and broaden recreational interests with certain women who like to read.
